orange tint...

*edit*
i figured it out! just had to change my white balance to custom white balance... awesome!

why do i get this horrible orange tint on my pictures? i notice it happens in low-light levels. it must have something to do with the settings on my camera, but i don't know what i'm doing. usually, the picture is too dark, so i slow down the shutter speed... and change the white balance. then, magically, everything becomes oompa-loompa ish!

*shrugs* beats me! i've tried playing around with iso and aperture but perhaps i'm playing around with it in all the wrong ways.

=(

Hi Jessy,

White balance is the hardest thing for me to get right too.
Inside you will often get orange.
When I change my white balance to cloudy and I am outside, I get orange.
The only thing I can think of is to shoot in places where there is a lot of light. I don't even bother to try to shoot inside if it is too dark.

Your doggie pictures are beautifully lit.
You found some nice light there!

Like you said on my comment section....
the very best thing you can do is practice and learn every day! Sounds like you will have fun doing that....I wish I had a darling little doggie to photograph! :o)
